Dr Plevin graduated from Glasgow Veterinary School in 2003. She completed a one year surgical internship at Ocala Equine Hospital, FL, USA where she stayed on as an associate until 2010 when she completed a lameness fellowship under Dr Wes Sutter DACVS . Dr Plevin’s main practice interests include performance lameness and diagnostic imaging: a subject in which she has published, and presented, many research articles. She also has extensive experience with dynamic respiratory endoscopy, being one of the first practitioners in the USA to use this technology. She is a pioneer in the use of quantitative ultrasound in the USA and is one of the few RCVS recognized Specialists in equine sports medicine. She is double board certified: by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, and the American College of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. She also holds the Certificate in Veterinary Acupuncture and uses this modality as an adjunct to regular techniques in the diagnosis and treatment of sports-related injuries. She is an invited reviewer for the Equine Veterinary Journal, Equine Veterinary Education, amongst other scientific journals.
She is the managing director of Gallop Veterinary, a company she established to bring referral-level equine sports medicine tele-consultations to owners, regardless of their geographical location.

Dr McLellan grew up working on farms throughout Scotland and knew from an early age which path his career would take. He graduated with honors from the University of Glasgow (UK) Veterinary School and undertook a surgical internship working with board certified surgeons at FHB Equine Hospital in Ocala, FL, USA. He is the author of multiple peer-reviewed research articles and continues to pursue his research interests, specifically training-related injuries and rehabilitation. He is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation and a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, in addition to being an RCVS recognized Specialist in equine sports medicine. He has a special interest in challenging lameness diagnostics and the rehabilitation of sports-injuries. Outside of his busy work schedule, he spends time with his family and enjoys tennis and soccer (whenever time permits).
He provides tele-consultancy services to Gallop Veterinary clients but is unavailable to undertake on- farm evaluations at this time with the exception of referral-UTC scans for research purposes. Additionally, he is currently unavailable to provide assistance in specific geographical regions of the USA.
